Edit Your Images in WordPress 2.9
WordPress released version 2.9 last week, and one of the best new features it offers is the ability to edit uploaded images! You can upload your image, click the ‘edit image’ button and crop, resize (scale), flip horizontally and vertically, and rotate your images and undo or redo your edits.

Now, if that’s not incentive enough to upgrade, I don’t know what is! Have you upgraded yet?

that is just what i needed. so far, i haven't been happy with the limited options for images in my WP blog.
now for the dumb question of the day: i clicked on the upgrade button and now my screen says
'Downloading update from http://wordpress.org/wordpress-2.9.1.zip."
BUT it doesn't seem to be doing anything?
What am I missing here???

Susan – occasionally, the auto-upgrade that makes life now so easy with regard to upgrading WordPress gets "stuck" and just sits there lookin' at you. I have not taken any time to investigate why this happens – I just go ahead and upgrade the ol' manual way with FTP. Having said that, I'll pop into your dashboard later today and fix you up.

I'm glad you find these posts helpful, Elaine. WordPress has so much to offer, I'm STILL finding things I didn't know were there! (And I'm not even talking about the most recent upgrade!)
